Job Opportunity:
Daycare Assistant / FBA Tierbetreuer
Location: Bark & Bone Zürich & Samstagern
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Employment: Full-time (100%)
Salary: CHF 4,200 - CHF 4’700.-
At Bark & Bone we believe dogs deserve more than supervision — they deserve people who truly understand them.
Our daycare is built around calm energy, balanced dog groups, and a team that genuinely cares about every dog that walks through our doors. Some dogs arrive full of excitement, others need a slower introduction. Our job is to read them, guide them, and create a space where they feel safe, understood, and happy.
The Daycare Assistant role is the perfect starting point for someone who wants to build a professional career working with dogs.
You do not need previous professional experience in dog daycare.
What matters most to us is your motivation to learn, your love for dogs, and your willingness to grow with the team. We will teach you the skills — including supporting you in obtaining the FBA certification, an important qualification in the Swiss dog care industry.

What Your Days Might Look Like
Your day often begins by welcoming the first dogs arriving for daycare and helping them settle into the group. Some rush in excitedly, others need a calmer start — understanding these small differences is part of the job.
Together with the team you spend most of the day with the dogs — observing interactions, supporting group activities, and helping maintain calm and balanced groups where every dog feels comfortable.
Twice a day the dogs head out for walks into the woods and fields nearby. These walks are an important part of our routine. You’ll support the team in guiding the dogs calmly, helping them walk nicely together, and making sure every dog has space to explore and enjoy the walk.
Back at daycare you help keep the space clean, calm, and organised, assist with welcoming new dogs, and support the team wherever needed.
Small details matter — sometimes it’s brushing muddy paws after a walk, helping a dog settle into the group, or capturing a nice moment of the day to share with their parents.
Over time you’ll learn how to read dog behaviour, manage groups safely, and take on more responsibility within the team.
