Job Opportunity:

Daycare Manager (Level 1–3 depending on experience)

Location: Bark & Bone Zürich & Samstagern + Bark & Bone The Loft
Schedule: Rotational (Daycare & Holiday Care)
Employment: Full-time (100%)
Salary: CHF 4,900 – 5,700 depending on experience

At Bark & Bone we believe dogs deserve more than supervision — they deserve people who truly understand them.

Our daycare is built around calm energy, balanced dog groups, and a team that genuinely cares about every dog that walks through our doors. Some dogs arrive full of excitement, others need a slower introduction. Our job is to read them, guide them, and create a space where they feel safe, understood, and happy.

We are looking for someone who feels completely at home around dogs and enjoys working closely with them every day. Depending on your experience, this role can start as Daycare Manager Level 1–3, with opportunities to grow into more responsibility as the company expands.

What Your Days Might Look Like:

Your day often begins by welcoming the first dogs arriving for daycare and helping them settle into the group. Some rush in excitedly, others need a calmer start — understanding these small differences is part of the job.

Throughout the day you manage the dog group together with the teamobserving interactions, guiding play, and adjusting group dynamics so every dog feels safe and comfortable. Our goal is not high-energy chaos, but calm and structured groups where every dog has space to move, explore, and relax.

Twice a day the dogs head out for walks into the woods and fields nearby. These walks are not just exercise — they are an important part of how we structure the day. Together with the team you guide the group calmly, help dogs walk nicely together, and create an environment where each dog can enjoy the walk at their own pace.

Back at daycare the day continues with coordinating the team, welcoming new dogs, and communicating with dog parents. Small details matter: sometimes it’s brushing muddy paws after a walk, giving a quick “mini spa moment” before a dog goes home, or capturing a lovely moment of the day to share with their parents.

Some days bring challenges too — a new dog joining the group, a sensitive dog needing extra guidance, or a client needing reassurance. Your calm presence and understanding of dogs make all the difference in those moments.

At the end of the day the dogs go home fulfilled and happy — and their parents know they were in good hands.
