How it works

  • We’d love to welcome you and your pup for a cozy 45-minute Meet & Greet at one of our Bark & Bone locations.

    Over a coffee (for you) and treats (for your pup), we’ll chat about your dog’s personality, quirks, and needs. You’ll get to see where they might stay and ask us anything you like. This first step helps us ensure we’re the right fit—for both of you.

  • Think of this as your dog’s soft landing into The Loft life. After your consultation, they’ll join us for a 2-day, 2-night trial stay - starting on a Sunday or Tuesday.

    This allows us to gradually introduce them to the rhythm of our holiday care and make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and confident with our team and their new doggy pals. If they love it, we’ll be ready for the real thing.

  • If your dog settles in beautifully (cue tail wags and happy naps), you're officially ready to book their next vacation at The Loft.

Frequently asked questions:

  • Check-ins and check-outs happen on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM at our Samstagern location. Special arrangements can be requested — surcharge applies CHF 49.-

  • We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during holiday seasons. If you're an Inner Circle member, your spot is guaranteed — even on short notice.

  • Our cancellation policy is outlined in our terms and conditions:

    • 1 month in advance: Free cancellation

    • 14–29 days before: 50% of the booking fee is charged

    • 7 days or less: Full booking fee is charged

  • No, your dog doesn’t need to be part of daycare. As long as they complete a meet & greet and trial stay, they’re welcome to join our holiday care family.

  • Yes, the trial stay is mandatory. It’s part of our commitment to making sure your dog is safe, comfortable, and genuinely happy with us. We only accept dogs who thrive in our space — this step is non-negotiable.

  • We ask that you're available or have an emergency contact locally during the trial stay — just in case your dog doesn’t settle in. Once they’re fully integrated, you can travel with peace of mind.

  • In a calm, home-like environment — no cages, ever. Your dog will sleep in an open, cozy room with soft bedding and plenty of space. It’s designed to feel like home.

  • It depends on the season. We usually host 6–8 dogs, but during high season the group can be slightly larger. Either way, the atmosphere always remains calm, safe, and well-supervised.

  • Yes, please! We ask all owners to provide their dog’s regular food so there’s no tummy upset. We’ll follow your feeding instructions exactly.

  • No problem — we’re experienced with all types of feeding routines. Just bring everything pre-portioned and frozen or labeled. We’ll make sure your dog gets their usual meals.

  • Yes! We send daily updates with photos and little notes, so you can relax and know your pup is safe, happy, and having a great time.

  • Your dog’s safety is our top priority. We’ll contact you (or your emergency contact) immediately and ensure they receive the appropriate veterinary care. We're experienced in managing all kinds of situations.

  • Yes, we welcome both neutered and intact dogs. However, to ensure safety and harmony, we limit the number of non-neutered dogs staying at the same time.
    If your female dog is in heat, she can only stay if no intact males are booked during that period. Please always let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

  • Yes — as long as they’re comfortable with group environments and pass the trial stay. We’ll adapt our care based on their age and needs.
