Certified Dog Trainer
Location: Bark & Bone Samstagern and/or Zürich
Are you a dog trainer with a passion for helping people build strong, lifelong bonds with their dogs? Bark & Bone is looking for a professional and empathetic Dog Trainer to join our growing team. We offer a modern training environment where small group classes and private lessons are at the core of what we do.

What You’ll Do:
Lead small group training sessions in a modern, well-equipped environment
Provide individual private lessons tailored to the needs of dogs and their owners.
Support clients in building loving and lasting relationships with their dogs.
Work with a diverse group of clients and their dogs, adapting training methods as needed.
Help maintain a safe, calm, and professional training environment.

What We’re Looking For:
Strong Advantage
Approval from the Canton of Zurich to conduct compulsory dog training courses (Theory Course for the first-time dog owners and/or 6 Practical Lessons)
Alternatively
If you do not yet have the official cantonal approval, you should have solid practical experience leading training sessions, including:
• leading group training classes
• conducting one-on-one (private) lessons with dog owners
• guiding owners through exercises and helping them understand their dog’s behavior
• confidently managing different dogs, personalities, and learning speeds within a groupRequirements
• At least 1–2 years of experience as a dog trainer with both private and group classes
• Strong understanding of dog behavior and training principles
• Ability to connect with a diverse range of people and dogs
• Valid Swiss working permit or citizenshipLanguage
Our primary working language is English, as many of our team members and clients come from international backgrounds. However because we are based in Switzerland German is a strong advantage.
If you do not yet speak German, a willingness to improve your German over time is important.

Start Date: upon agreement
Work Schedule: Flexible — sessions scheduled based on trainer availability and client bookings
Compensation: Percentage based (Details are discussed together depending on experience and involvement.)
